Updated 2026-10-21

Snowman World is a winter snow park inside Santa Claus Village, open from 6 December 2026 to 17 March 2027. Entry is €35 a person on its own site (under-2s free), valid all day, and covers the snow slides, the snow labyrinth, ice skating and the snow and ice sculptures. The ice bar is included too, but drinks cost extra, and so does food in the ice restaurant. It is mainly for families, and an hour or two is enough.

Is Snowman World part of Santa Claus Village?

Yes. It sits inside the village, so you can combine it with the free parts of a visit: the Arctic Circle line, Santa Claus Office and the post office. The village itself is free; Snowman World is one of the paid extras. See the full Santa Claus Village price ladder.

When is it open?

Only in the freezing season, because everything is built from snow and ice. For 2026–27 the official dates are 6 December to 17 March, open 10:00 to 20:00 until 6 January and 11:00 to 19:00 from 7 January, weather permitting. Outside those dates there is nothing to visit.

What’s included in the ticket

  • The snow slides, the snow labyrinth and the snow and ice art
  • Ice skating
  • The Snowman Disco
  • Entry to the ice bar, where drinks, including hot drinks, cost extra

Not included: food and drinks in the ice restaurant and ice bar. Packages that bundle skate or tube rental or a transfer are add-ons sold by resellers, not part of the standard ticket.

How long do you need?

About one to two hours for most families. The ticket is valid all day, so you can leave, explore the village and come back.

Is Snowman World for adults?

It works for adults as a quick look and a drink in the ice bar, but it is built for children. Couples and groups of adults usually get more from a husky ride or an evening aurora chase.

Is it worth it?

For families with children under about ten, on a December or January trip, yes: it is the easiest snow play in Rovaniemi and it is right where you already are. For adults, it is optional. It is not free, so do not confuse it with the village’s free entry.
